Heft & Hush is free to read and funded by affiliate commission. If you click a product link on this site and buy something, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid anyway - nothing on this site costs you more because you came through it.

Who we have a relationship with
Amazon, and currently nobody else. Every product link on this site goes to Amazon and carries our Associates tracking ID, mmg-hefthush-20. We are not in any other affiliate network for this site at present, and we have no sponsorship, paid placement or brand partnership of any kind.
Where a page links to a manufacturer’s own website - because they sell a size or model Amazon does not stock - that link is untracked and earns us nothing. It is there because it is useful to you.
If that changes and we join another program, this page changes on the same day and the new relationship is named here.
How our links work
Product links route through a redirect on this domain (/go/) before sending you to the retailer. That is a tracking redirect, nothing more: it attaches the Associates tag and sends you on. The /go/ path is excluded from our sitemap and blocked in robots.txt, because it is a redirect rather than a page.
Every earning link on this site is marked rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page source, which is how search engines are told the link is commercial. Every commercial page also carries a visible disclosure above the first product link, not just here.
Why we do not show prices
We do not currently have live price access, so we do not print prices anywhere on this site. Every buy button reads “Check price on Amazon”.
That is deliberate rather than an oversight. Prices in this category move constantly, and a number written into a page months ago is worse than no number - it is a specific false statement rather than a gap. When live pricing is connected, prices will appear with the date they were checked beside them, and any figure more than 48 hours old will disappear on its own rather than go stale.
Always check the current price on the retailer’s own page before buying.
What the commission does not change
- Which products we recommend. Products are shortlisted on published specifications, as set out in how we choose.
- The order they appear in. Ranked by how well each solves the problem, not by what it pays.
- What we say about them. Every pick on this site carries a “skip it if” line, and several pages exist mainly to talk readers out of a purchase.
There is a structural reason to believe this beyond us asserting it: because every money link on the site goes to the same retailer, the commission is broadly similar whichever product you buy. There is no financial incentive to push you towards the expensive option, which is why we can tell you the eighteen-dollar earplugs are genuinely enough.
What we do not do
- Accept payment for placement, ranking, or particular wording
- Let a brand review a page before it publishes
- Invent prices, ratings, review counts, scores or awards
- Claim to have tested products we have not tested
- Publish testimonials or reviews from readers we do not have
